A note from Samantha, designer of Blanca Veils:
When I designed The Ella, I had one bride in mind. The bride who's dreamed of wearing a veil her whole life, but doesn't want it to compete with her dress.
The Ella is what I call a "barely there" veil. It's the softest, most weightless English net tulle I could find. I finish each one by hand in my studio. The moment you put it on? It doesn't feel like a costume. It literally feels like a whisper! It moves with you, but lets your gown be the star. And the hand beaded lace applique at the top? That's my little love letter to you on your wedding day. 🥰
Why brides fall in love with The Ella
-
It's romantic without being heavy. Stiff, big tulle can swallow a dress. Soft English net drapes like silk and photographs like a dream.
-
It works with every dress style. A fitted dress, a lace boho gown, a strapless ballgown, a modern minimalist slip. The Ella looks beautiful with all of them. It doesn't compete!
-
The lace comb is hand applied. Each beaded lace applique is sewn onto a 3" silver comb in my studio, one veil at a time. No two are ever exactly alike.
-
It travels beautifully. Because English net is so lightweight, The Ella packs and steams easily for destination weddings.
-
Handmade in the USA, just for you, after you order.

Who The Ella is perfect for
The Ella was made for modern brides, minimalist brides, romantic brides, and traditional brides who want a soft, lightweight wedding veil that won't overwhelm their gown.
It looks especially beautiful with:
- Crepe and satin sheath dresses
- Lace, boho, and bohemian gowns
- Strapless and off the shoulder silhouettes
- Slip dresses and modern minimalist gowns
- Ballgowns where you want the veil to drape, not stand up
How to style The Ella
The comb sits at the crown or back of the head, depending on your hairstyle. The Ella looks gorgeous with:
- A low chignon or bun. The comb tucks in beautifully above.
- Half up, half down styles
- A loose, romantic ponytail
- Hair down with soft waves
Care and shipping
Each Ella veil is made to order in my studio. Then it's carefully packed, steamed, and shipped. If your veil has any soft creases when it arrives, hang it overnight or use a handheld steamer on the lowest setting. Never iron it directly! I'm always here at orders@blancaveils.com if you have questions before or after you order.
Frequently asked questions
What is English net tulle?
English net is a soft, lightweight tulle made from nylon. Unlike stiff bridal illusion tulle, it has a fluid, almost silk like drape. It never feels stiff or scratchy. It photographs beautifully and is one of the most luxurious tulles you can get.
Is The Ella a "barely there" veil?
Yes! The Ella is part of the Barely There collection. The 60" width is sheer, and the fabric is so soft that the veil reads as a soft glow rather than a thick layer over your dress.
What length should I order?
Most brides pick Fingertip (40") or Cathedral (108"). Fingertip is the most versatile classic length. Cathedral is the most dramatic. If you have a long train and want the veil to extend past it, choose Cathedral (108"), Ten Foot (120"), or Royal Cathedral (144"). If you have no train or a shorter dress, Fingertip (40") or Waltz (54") will photograph best.
What color is The Ella?
Light Ivory. A soft, warm white that flatters most skin tones and looks beautiful with both ivory and diamond white gowns.
Is it really handmade?
Yes. Every Ella veil is cut, sewn, and finished by hand by me (Samantha!) in my Texas studio. Never mass produced.
How long does it take to ship?
Each veil is made to order. Current production time is about 6-8 weeks. Need a rush? Email me at yourweddingveil@blancaveils.com and I'll do my best to help!
Thank you for choosing a handmade veil. It's such an honor to be a tiny part of your big day! Love, Samantha. Blanca Veils.
